The friendliness and the efficiency of the staff. An example of which was the fact that were able to check in 2 hours early. We stayed in Room 8 which was very spacious and very comfortable - it also had an excellent view of the bay.

Agoo stanard of accommoation and nice setting. Staf very helpful . Position of hotel is ieally suited to discovering the EastNeuk of fife.

At times the staff seemed to be overwhelmed by the the numbers of people in the diningroom. The ffood on offer was good however they seemed to rely too heavily on frozen products and appears to be a cost cutting excercise. To be situated in such a good farming area there is no excse for serving frozen vegetables. The grill room prices were reasonable but once again frozen veg. Marred the dishes. Some of the dishes could have been improve by serving them with a salsa or sauce as they were dry and uninterestig. Good food should be a part of the whole hotel experience.

We booked this hotel because the reviews were so good. Unfortunately, I can only say. We had booked an ocean view room, we got a room on the sea side. The views of the sea, we could only see when we leaned out the window. In addition, the room was very narrow, and the Room equipment /furniture, not a country golf hotels adequately, rather a standard room, with very needy renewal furniture and decoration. The young woman at reception could not offer another room because the hotel was fully booked up. The breakfast was a single disaster. Very inexperienced, staff, young girls who were overwhelmed by the conditions, and a manager who was sweating, and my cutlery hastily put on a very wet and soapy table, that one hi just before with one questionable looking cloth wiped. I has gotten my ordered freshly squeezed, orange juice, in a visible completely filthy glass. The breakfast buffet was very poor, and the wrinkled fruit seemingly for days dawned on the plate. I had never before eaten a croissant so hard, and did not know that that could be so hard. On the complaints that staff always responded with the same answer "Sorry, the manager is not in the house, and we can only apologize," We have gained the impression that the hotel stand shortly before the sale and no has a great desire to do something. Not recommended

The gardens were lovely and very well kept, and the views all around the hotel are magnificent. There is plenty of parking space and it is very convenient for visiting other places, including St. Andrews, which is well worth a visit.

The hotel itself is a very old building, and so the window in our room did not let in much light, although we had a balcony. The bathroom was very small, outdated and inadequate. The flush in the toilet was not as efficent as it should be. However, there was a large supply of good white towels and plenty of hot water and a very good shower.

Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. We stayed in a great room overlooking the golf course which has a nice big balcony.

The shower is really weak, it was like showering under a dribble of water.

The Old Manor has a magnificent view over Largo Bay to the Forth estuary to the Pentlands dry ski slope, Edinburgh, Arthur's Seat, North Berwick Law and the Bass Rock. There is a beautiful beach nearby stretching to Leven. The staff were very pleasant and willing to help. Our stay was a good experience.

You need to review the menu (other than breakfast which was excellent) in relation to the price and the quality of the presentation.

Old Manor Hotel is situated right near the links and has a beautiful seaside view restaurant which is where you are served breakfast (included in the price of a room). While our stay was short, we had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the breakfast. In terms of location, it is a short 20 min drive from St. Andrews as well so can be a easy day trip.

I required to extend by a further three days. Despite being booked to capacity, the staff were able to accommodate me. The friendliness of the staff and the attention given to guests is well above the call of duty.

Nice hotel and staff very nice

As my partner was recovering from an illness we went for a one night break only. Was disappointed that there was only 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel to do 2 of us.Also half a toilet roll left in holder. This was the only thing wrong but quite important to travellers. It was as if they were skimping on the most important things.

The Old Manor Hotel is an excellent Hotel to stay, I would recommend it for any occasion, its location makes it ideal for Golfing trips with several very good coarses nearby, (which was the reason for my visit, this time) but is a good base for various activities, the standard of accomadation is very good, and the staff are really helpfull and excellent with familys, I have a 3 year old and 1 year old twin daughters, and the staff couldnt have been more helpfull. We are going to stay again in October to attend a Wedding for which the Hotel are having the reception, we live in the Newcastle area and have no hesitation with the 3 hour drive, because it is well worth the stay.

There is nothing I could pick fault with in the times I have stayed at this Hotel.

All I can say is that it was adequate to our needs.

    Breakfast service was a farce.

The balcony in our room was great. It had a fantastic view over the golf course and beach. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was cosy and just what we were looking for. The staff at reception were friendly and welcoming.

The balcony was pleasant but could have done with a lick of paint. The food was excellent but the service was incredibly slow (1 hour between each course with no apology or explanation from any of the waiting staff!!).

The hotel was very pleasant and quiet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a meal in the seaview restaurant it it was very nice, delicious steak. It is obvious that the owners are still making their mark on the hotel and the staff are still learning so there were 1 or 2 very small teething problems, but these were easily rectified and the staff were only too willing to help.

Lovely room, I think I must have been upgraded. Friendly and helpful staff.

It took a few atempts to get the DVD player (that I had requested before my arrival) actually into the room. It would have bveen nicer if the cooked breakfast had been available before 0800 (cereal, juice, toast and fruit were all available, however).
